Spring is finally here and it has me craving all the fresh, citrus flavours. That even includes sweet treats, which is a departure from my usual chocolate treats but lemon sweets are my hubby's favourite. So I was inspired to create a healthier version of the classic lemon poppy seeds loaf and it definitely does not disappoint!
I love having different flavours of salad dressing on hand and once I realized how easy it is to make my own salad dressing I haven't looked back. I especially love these mason mason jar dressings because you can just add all the ingredients into the jar, give is a good shake and ta-da, all done! These are obviously all great on salads but I often use them to season meat and veggies when I'm cooking as well.

Thai food is probably my favourite take out food, not that I have it very often. Partially because I hardly ever get take out and partially because I live in the boonies and there are no thai restaurants around. Luckily pad thai is really simple to make and I don't have to worry about any weird ingredients that the restaurant might be adding.
I always get asked what a good snack would be or what protein bars are the best to buy. Truthfully, I'm all about the homemade. You can control exactly what's going into them and choose ingredients to really up level the nutrition. These chocolate protein balls do just that. Plus, not only are these loaded with protein but fibre, and flavour too!
I've tried my share of protein powders, bars, and balls but nothing ever really seems to hit the spot. I'm not a big supporter of store bought protein bars and I'm very picky with protein powders. I've made sure to share my favourites below, just for you!
