Paleo, keto, gluten-free, dairy-free, whole30 With the chilly days setting in I'm really feeling like all the hearty, warm meals. This time of year also gets very busy so slow cooker meals are lifesaving! This meal is so easy to throw together in the morning and then you can come home to a delicious meal! Plus, butter chicken... need I say more?

with maple vinaigrette With the days getting shorter and the weather getting chillier it's easy to skip the salads and opt for heartier dishes but this Harvest Salad is the perfect addition to any fall meal. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and this would make a perfect side dish if you're looking to brighten up the meal. I love the flavour combo of the butternut squash and pomegranate seeds topped with the maple vinaigrette, yum!!
Grilling season is upon us! For those of us in Ottawa it seemed like we'd be stuck in the dead of winter forever. But we've finally made it to the other side I'll be eating everything bbq-ed for the foreseeable future. This grilled pineapple salsa is the perfect addition to all your summer meals. It's bright, fresh, and the perfect balance of sweet and tangy.
Paleo, whole30, keto, gluten-free, slow cooker Carnitas, AKA pulled pork tacos. Need I say more? This recipe is super simple to make and since it's a crockpot meal it make for an easy week night dinner. I've been making these on repeat for taco Tuesday every week for nearly 2 months and I couldn't be happier about it.
Paleo, grain-free, vegan Finally a gluten-free tortilla that doesn't crumble, break, or basically just plain suck! These are so simple to make, only have 3 ingredients and are leaps and bounds better than any tortilla you can buy (gluten-free or gluten-full!)
I'm always asked about snacks and what are the best options. These carrot mini muffins would make a great snack or the perfect addition to any brunch. Plus they are gluten-free, and dairy-free.
Gluten-free, paleo, dairy-free Just because you've chosen to improve your health and make better food choices doesn't mean you have to give up on your favourite foods. Including chinese "take out"! While you can't get this Sweet and Sour Chicken delivered, it is surprisingly easy to make and so so worth it. It tastes just like the real deal!
Happy Halloween from our sweet Rudy, ahem, Finnegan! For Finn's first Halloween I thought about what he should dress up as, and I just knew that if he were able to pick out a costume he'd want to dress up as his best friend and hero, Rudy! Rudy is our 2 year old Bernese Mountain Dog and the bond between these two is just adorable. So I hit the sewing machine and got to work on creating my favourite costume of all time.
Halloween season is upon us! Halloween has always been a favourite of mine, dressing up, spooky decorations, haunted houses, free candy (if I'm being honest that was a big part of the appeal as a kid). While I've given up on the mini chocolate bars, I love to do some halloween baking with upgraded ingredients. These coconut skull gummies are such a fun treat for the season. Plus they are loaded with healthy ingredients, win win!
Gluten-free, egg-free, nut-free Thanksgiving is almost here and no holiday is complete without this stuffing that has been in my family for generations. My more cherished memories of the holidays are helping my mom in the kitchen while we chat, giggle (usually a result of being overtired due to getting ready for the holiday), and sneak forkfuls of this stuffing before dinner. This recipe has been passed down from my great great grandmother, and I like to imagine each generation of mothers and daughters having that same special time.
